Baggage Handler by Day, Extremist by Night

An impressive investigation by the Daily Mail–at least they aren’t afraid to call a spade a spade.

Quick takes:

One of the Muslim extremists who branded British soldiers returning from Iraq murderers works as a baggage handler at a UK airport, it has emerged.

Jalal Ahmed has been working at Luton Airport for around two years and has access to secure areas of the site, according to reports.

The Muslim, who is in his early 20s, is said to have once joked he was the nephew of Osama bin Laden.

And he was allegedly questioned by police over pictures he had taken of passenger planes.

Surprised?  But it gets even better:

Ahmed was seen at the protest on Tuesday at the homecoming of the Royal Anglian Regiment clutching a banner declaring ‘Butchers of Basra‘.

Let’s take a look at this chap at the protest:

And just in case you were wondering that these were just innocent little freedom fighters, you might want to read this:

Moneyquote:

The demonstrators included members of a group called Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah, whic is thought to have been formed by former members of Omar Bakri Mohammed’s radical Islamist organisation al-Muhajiroun.

One of them was Sayful Islam, a disciple of the inflammatory Bakri and a prominent hardline activist in Luton for more than five years.

That organization certainly sounds familiar:

Luton has a growing Muslim population and has been a hot-bed of radical activity. The extremist group al-Muhajiroun has also been very active in the town. The 7/7 bombers assembled in Luton, before travelling to London to carry out their attacks.

There are around 1.5 million Muslims in Britain, a million of whom live in London. There are 150,000 Muslims in Birmingham and a further 27,000 in Luton.

Patrick Mercer, the Tory MP for Newark, said al-Qaeda now had support in large parts of the country, especially around Luton which was the spot where the 7/7 terrorists assembled before travelling to London to mount the Tube bombings.

It seems like the people of Luton and their brave soldiers have had enough.  It is also promising that the Daily Mail and Telegraph are reporting on these sorts of things.

Is Britain finally waking up to its nightmare?
