Second Presidential Debate Verdict
I came in a few minutes late to the debate, so I wasn’t able to liveblog. However, my verdict:
Not too many gotcha moments, but McCain held his own. Obama had a phrase or two that came off smooth, but seemed off-kilter quite a bit. Both candidates re-explained themselves ad nauseam. McCain made a point or two that made me wince, especially when it came to the government buying houses. Brokaw was useless and whiny, and the questions were not as well done as they could have been.
He had his best night so far tonight. He came off as affable and fluid, and less wooden than he has before. His positions sounded stronger and more straightforward, and Obama looked reticent and wordy.
